This is an estimate on the number of Super
Magnas that were made. Please keep in mind that these
numbers are only my "best guess" from a sample database of
about 275 (as of 5/24/2006) Vehicle Identification Numbers that were
submitted by owners to the site for the purpose of
production numbers estimation. These numbers will be
affected by the fact that a limited number of VIN's were
submitted, not all the bikes had VIN's, and it is unknown
how many units still survive.
That being said, here are the numbers:

Estimated Production
Numbers, as of 02/26/2007:
1987 VF700C
and VF750C:10,937 units
1988 VF750C:

Sequence Number |
Here's where some guess
work came in - I eliminated the first digit of the sequence
number for my calculations. If I included this number, the
production numbers would have been 100,000 for the 87's, a
ridiculously high number. Several Honda automobile sites I
have visited suggest this is an internal Honda number that
does not reflect a production value. I used the starting
VIN's reported by Honda and
highest of the last 5 digits of the VIN's submitted to make
my estimations.
I will continually update
these production numbers as more VIN's come in. Please send
your VIN or any questions / new information to:
