Story: What can I say about a bike that is as good looking as the Super Magnas? I never seen when they first came out. My first all out street bike was a Honda CB400. It had a broken odometer cable so I never knew how many miles were on it. So let's just say after many many many miles on the 400, and a stretched timing chain that made the repair more expensive then the bike was worth. I was in the market for a new bike. The 750 was an appropriate step up, considering it was the biggest I've had ever ridden. There sitting in a Honda showroom I discovered a new 1990 Honda Shadow 750 and a new left over 1988 Honda 750 Magna with 9 miles on it. I have never regretted my choice to own the Magna 750. It was the perfect bike for the times and is still a Honda relic that can still turn heads after 43 thousand miles and 13 years on the road. The bike has been far south and east as Ocean City Maryland, as far north as Saint George New York, and as far west as Saint Louis Missouri.

Now for the honest history behind this bike. It was only about a month old and it was still winter out. The snow was melting and I thought it was a good time to "blowout the carburetors". Wrrrong!!! There were still ice patches in the shadows where buildings stood. I dropped it going about 5 mph. My foot slipped on the ice and the bike dropped like a rock. Would you believe, there was even a cop at the scene waving me to turn back because the cars could hardly drive over that section of road. The repairs ran over a grand. Thank God for insurance. The bike endured a bunch of little tip overs thanks to the strategically placed touch points. Thank You Honda!!!! The next major repair done to the bike was when I blew second gear. I'm almost curtain all you people out there know of that little sweet spot second gear has. Well that was almost another one of those not worth the money to fix things but I'm glad it was done. It was the last thing my dad and I worked on anything mechanically before he died. Him and I pulled the engine out and a local Honda dealer tore it apart. Never again, I've learnt my lesson, I baby that second gear now. The seat has a little rip on it near the crotch area. The front rim has a little flat spot in it (nothing noticeable). The side covers can be replaced for the cracks in them, but hey that's what they make stickers for!!!!!!! It all breaks your heart but she still shines up pretty good.

I changed the mirrors and bars on it. It's the second wind shield on it. It looks cooler without the wind shield, but it makes it a lot more comfortable to ride. There are cruiser pegs on it. I've added a little blue reflector on the side behind the turn signal. Still a stock bike with all the parts though.

I'll share a little trade secret for those of you who don't know. I use Honda's brand cleaner and polish spray. Automobile aluminum wheel cleaner spray with a nylon brush for the engine.
