| Story: |
Having seen a wonderful piece
of machinery (Red 87 Supermagna) up close, I had the
urge to get my motorcycle license. One week after
graduating from my riding course on the schools
Nighthawk 250 I took out this wonderful piece of
machinery, it was my brother-in-law's. The power was
incredible as I managed this bike with white
knuckles. I was lucky enough to be able to drive and
eventually master this bike at will for 4 years as I
searched high and low for the exact same bike. I
located one locally in an ad and went to check it
out. It was prestine, Red 87, 3500 miles with a tiny
scratch on front fender. I had to have it and the
price of $3000 was easy to hand over. The only
problem was another buyer was on his way over. I
waited around to see. The buyer agreed to the price,
but I anted up to $3100, he countered with $3200. I
then pulled out $3200 in cash, having stopped by the
bank just in case. He upped again but the owner
asked cash? And the bike was mine. This was May of
2002 and I have not gone a day without thinking a
ride is needed. These are the sleekest bikes to come
off the showroom floor stock in any decade. I since
added an engine guard and highway pegs, it came
equipped with passenger seat and backrest. I vow to
keep it stock, but one never knows do one? |
