Story: I have wanted a Super Magna since the day they were made. I was riding across Washington State on my dad’s ‘82 CB 650 when a ’88 Magna and Shadow passed me. I was so impressed with the looks of that Magna, that I have wanted no other bike. Between not enough money or not enough time (funny how if you have one, you don’t have the other!) I didn’t get a Super until July of 2000. It was a little rough after being on the Island of Oahu (where I am currently stationed) for a few years. If you think you have corrosion problems, bring a 14 year old bike here and let it sit outside for a while. Most of the engine was so corroded the aluminum finish was just falling off in white chunky flakes. All the chrome was covered with surface rust. Dents in the tank, paint all faded, turn signals cracked, etc., etc. I only paid $1500 for it though. After endless days and weeks of grinding, scrubbing and polishing, buying new parts like the tank, side covers, air cleaner covers, turn signals, and instrument cover, it is starting to look presentable. I should have taken some good close-ups of how bad it was. I have included what pics I do have though. ...Aloha
