Story: I am the second and fifth owner of this in particular ride. Back in 1995 I got my motor-cycle license. I learned on an old 1 lunger Suzuki gn400x (torque-y little bugger it was). I then decided that I was ready to graduate to a bit more style. One of the fellas I worked with would ride this wild looking bike to work every once in a while. It turned out to be his brothers. And just by chance he was thinking of selling it. I decided that I wanted it and went to the bank for a loan. (With-out the little ladies consent of course.) Needles to say she was a bit upset. But she decided to come and look at the bike with me, because I just don't spend money or at least not $2500 on a whim. She came she saw she loved it almost as much as I did. And mind you my father was really giving me a raft of crap because I wanted to pay $2500 for a bike that was close to, but not quite 10 years old. Well I drove it home and put the cover on the bike in the back yard. (Lived with parents at the time saving to buy our house.) When Dad came home he was all bitchy about the bike saying he wanted to see this piece of crap I bought. When I took the cover off he couldn't believe I only paid what I did for it He thought it was new and I was pulling his leg. In about 1997 I had a little girl and just had no time to ride, and needed some money. Most of my family wanted the bike from me but no-one wanted to give me what I wanted. Finally my dads boss looked at it and said he would give me $2500 instead of the $3000 I was asking. So needing the cash I said yes. I figured not bad for only putting a new rear tire on it. I mean I pretty much got my money back out of it. Well in a few year he had some money trouble and had to sell it and Luckily my cousin bought it from him. My cousin had it for about 3 years I believe until he bought his house and decided he wanted to sell it. Well my Dad talked to him and got him down to $2450. And was going to buy it, when I told him that I wanted it and he decided to get a HD. Now I am the proud owner a second time of a very beautiful bike that my wife loves as much as I. The nice thing is that it is in NEW condition. With only 13,555 miles on it only 3000 more than when I sold it. Needles to say I don't plan on getting rid of it any time soon. My daughter is really looking forward to riding on it with me. I plan on getting the "air boxes" chromed and getting the sweet looking chromed radiator cover from HighwayHawk.com . I want to personalize it a bit. I mean I don't plan on getting rid of it again. It's not often you get a second chance at a good thing. Although it has happened to me twice the first was with my wife ( a hole different story) and the second is with my bike.
